An exciting and educational excursion into the heart of Asia's great Kyzylkum Desert. You'll be able to work on a real potter's wheel in a ceramicist's workshop, admire the stone carvings of prehistoric artists in the Sarmyshsay Petroglyph Park, ride Bactrian camels in the desert, listen to the songs of a national akyn (singer) around a campfire, and swim in the vast Aydarkul Lake.

Early departure from Bukhara, drive to Sarmyshsay (150 km, 2 hours). En route, stop in Gijduvan to visit a ceramics workshop by renowned Uzbek masters. Explore petroglyphs. Transfer to Nurata (80 km, 1 hour). Visit the Chashma complex—a sacred spring—and the ruins of the Nur fortress, founded by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC. Continue to the Yurt Camp (70 km, 1 hour), where you'll be accommodated in yurts. Watch the sunset from the dunes. In the evening, enjoy dinner by the fire and a performance by a Kazakh akyn (folk singer). Overnight in a yurt.
Breakfast at the yurt camp. Camel riding, trip to Lake Aydarkul, rest on the lake, swimming, lunch. After lunch, departure to Samarkand (350 km, 5 hours).
